Medcare Hospital Al Safa has been featured in Gulf News for introducing Cardio Explorer, an AI-powered diagnostic tool for early detection of coronary artery disease (CAD).
The feature highlights Medcare’s commitment to integrating cutting-edge technologies that enhance patient care and preventive cardiology in the UAE.
Developed by Exploris Health, and distributed in the Middle East by AlfaDiag, Cardio Explorer is a non-invasive blood test that uses artificial intelligence to analyze biomarkers and clinical data to assess an individual’s risk of significant coronary artery narrowing – even before symptoms appear.
With an accuracy comparable to CT and MRI imaging (AUC = 0.87), Cardio Explorer helps physicians triage patients more efficiently, reducing unnecessary imaging procedures while identifying those truly at risk.
As reported, this AI-based tool is already available for patients at Medcare Hospital Al Safa and forms part of their comprehensive heart check-up packages during Cardiology Awareness Month.

AlfaDiag is proud to be featured in the April/May 2025 edition of Health magazine (page 41) for introducing AI-powered retinal screening through Airdoc.
This groundbreaking solution can detect 35 eye conditions and 9 chronic disease risks – including diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular issues – with just a one-minute scan. The deep-learning model used by the FUNDUS camera was trained on millions of images and has demonstrated accuracy comparable to senior ophthalmologists.
As highlighted in the article, this technology is already in use in UAE hospitals and has helped patients discover early signs of serious conditions, allowing for earlier intervention and better outcomes.
